{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-194a.062","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 194A.062","heading":"Criminal background investigation required for cabinet's employees","body":"with access to or use of federal tax information and front-line staff.\n(1) Each employee of the cabinet, including contract staff, with access to or use of\nfederal tax inform ation shall submit to a criminal background investigation by\nmeans of a fingerprint check by the Department of Kentucky State Police and the\nFederal Bureau of Investigation.\n(2) Front-line staff, as defined in KRS 194A.065, shall submit to national and sta te\nfingerprint-supported criminal background checks by the Department of Kentucky\nState Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.\n(3) The results of the national and state criminal background checks shall be sent to the\ncabinet.\n(4) The cabinet may register employees, contract staff, or front-line staff in the rap back\nsystem.\n(5) The cabinet shall promulgate administrative regulations in accordance with KRS\nChapter 13A to implement this section.","path":["KRS Chapter 194A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=50201","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:46Z","sha256":"f9c6fead970a5a70efd1b1425887abc56d43069baa49cfd7b69e64dba0a28442","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-194a.060","next":"us-ky/krs-194a.065"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
