{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-194a.550","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 194A.550","heading":"Training requirements for staff of agencies providing shelter services for","body":"victims.\n(1) The secretary for health and family services shall promulgate administrative\nregulations under KRS Chapter 13A setting forth the requirements for initial\ntraining courses and continuing education courses for staff of agencies providing\nprotective shelter services for victims of domestic violence. The components of the\ntraining shall include the dynamics of domestic violence, effects of domestic\nviolence on adult an d child victims, legal remedies for protection, lethality and risk\nissues, model protocols for addressing domestic violence, available community\nresources and victims services, and reporting requirements. The training shall be\ndeveloped in consultation wit h legal, victim services, victim advocacy, and mental\nhealth professionals with an expertise in domestic violence.\n(2) Each agency providing protective shelter services for victims of domestic violence\nshall develop and provide initial training courses and , at least once every two (2)\nyears, continuing education courses which comply with the requirements developed\npursuant to subsection (1) of this section, for staff of the agency.","path":["KRS Chapter 194A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=6681","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:47Z","sha256":"81e901586ca63696f7c3d58780207ad572689aa8871ad01f005e15a054626290","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-194a.545","next":"us-ky/krs-194a.560"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
