The cabinet shall\nissue an assisted living community license to the facility to replace its personal care\nlicense. If the personal care home has a secured dementia care unit, the replacement\nlicense shall be an assisted living community with dementia care license.\n(2) A licensed personal care home that does not comply with KRS 194A.703 on July\n14, 2022, may file an application with the cabinet to change its license from\npersonal care home to assisted living community or assisted living commu nity with\ndementia care:\n(a) Within twelve (12) months after July 14, 2022, once it complies with the\nphysical plant requirements of an assisted living community as of July 14,\n2022; or\n(b) After twelve (12) months of July 14, 2022, once it complies with t he physical\nplant requirements of an assisted living community in effect at the time of its\napplication.","path":["KRS Chapter 194A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=52524","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:47Z","sha256":"07fdd1dcb90d5f7d93874c4bb4539737080b6ec591bfcd52716064f965a7fc01","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-194a.703","next":"us-ky/krs-194a.705"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
