{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-194a.708","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 194A.708","heading":"Additional policy and procedure requirements for assisted living","body":"community with dementia care licensees.\n(1) In addition to the policies and procedures required in the licensing of all assisted living communities, an assisted living communit y with dementia care licensee shall develop and implement policies and procedures that address the following:\n(a) Philosophy of how services are provided and implemented based upon the assisted living community licensee's values, mission, and promotion of person-centered care;\n(b) Evaluation of behavioral symptoms and design of supports for intervention plans, including but not limited to nonpharmacological practices that are person-centered and evidence-informed;\n(c) Exit seeking and egress prevention;\n(d) Medication management pursuant to orders from a resident’s health care practitioner;\n(e) Staff training specific to dementia care;\n(f) Description of life enrichment and activity programs;\n(g) Description of family support and engagement programs;\n(h) Incontinence care;\n(i) Limit the use of public address and intercom systems to emergencies;\n(j) Transportation to and from off-site medical appointments; and\n(k) Safekeeping of residents' possessions.\n(2) The policies and procedures shall be provided to resid ents and their legal and designated representatives at the time of move-in.","path":["KRS Chapter 194A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=52519","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:47Z","sha256":"5e761aafc8e31d26c52ea62691d5fb916c971fbccd8fd02d2c9cc3c774c1fe75","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-194a.707","next":"us-ky/krs-194a.709"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
