{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-196.174","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 196.174","heading":"Housing of inmate known to be pregnant or in immediate post -partum","body":"period -- Definition.\n(1) No inmate housed in a jail, penitentiary, or local or state correctional or detention\nfacility, residential center, or reentry center who is known to  be pregnant or in the\nimmediate postpartum period shall be placed in restrictive housing, in\nadministrative segregation, or in solitary confinement for medical observation. This\nprohibition shall not include placing an inmate in a cell or hospital room by herself.\n(2) As used in this section, \"immediate postpartum period\" means the six (6) week\nperiod following childbirth by the inmate.
