{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-196.720","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 196.720","heading":"Plan requirements.","body":"Community corrections programs applying for grants under KRS 196.700 to 196.735\nshall prepare a community corrections program plan for the judicial circuit, as prescribed\nby the commission. More than one (1) community corrections program plan may be\nprepared, submitted, and approved for any one (1) judicial circuit. The plan shall include:\n(1) Objectives of the community corrections program described in the community\ncorrections program plan.\n(2) Realistic goals for reduction of offenders committed to priso n for each county\nwithin the judicial circuit, and a system of monitoring the number of commitments\nto prison.\n(3) Procedures for identifying targeted offenders, and a plan for referral of targeted\noffenders to the community corrections program.\n(4) Procedures for preparing and presenting community penalty plans to the court,\nwhen applicable.\n(5) Procedures for obtaining services from existing public or private agencies, and a\ndetailed budget for staff, contracted services, and all other costs.\n(6) Procedures for monitoring the progress of offenders on community penalty plans\nand for cooperating with the probation personnel who have supervisory\nresponsibility for the offender, when applicable.\n(7) Procedures for returning offenders who do not comply with the ir community\npenalty plan to court for action by the court.\n(8) Procedures for evaluating the program's effect on numbers of prison commitments\nand revocations of probation and parole.","path":["KRS Chapter 196"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=6852","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:49Z","sha256":"ea4fe3f1aa8621f556df7a501f856632a315fae97c9efe04b1b2178d94378a09","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-196.715","next":"us-ky/krs-196.725"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
