{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-196.725","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 196.725","heading":"Community corrections boards -- Membership -- Meetings -- Duties.","body":"Each community corrections program shall establish a community corrections board to\nprovide direction and assistance to the community corrections program in the design,\nimplementation and evaluation of the community corrections program plan. Community\ncorrections boards shall be organized as nonprofit corporations under KRS Chapter 273.\nThe community corrections board shall consist of not less than eight (8) members, and\nshall include, insofar as possible, judges, Commonwealth's attorneys, defense attorneys ,\ncrime victims or survivors, community leaders, social workers, law -enforcement officers,\nprobation officers, and other interested persons. Members of the board shall receive no\ncompensation for their duties as board members. The board shall be subject to  the open\nmeetings law and the open records law as provided for in KRS Chapter 61. The\ncommunity corrections board shall meet on a regular basis, and its duties shall include,\nbut are not limited to, the following:\n(1) Development and recommendation of an annual budget for the community\ncorrections program;\n(2) Selection of new or additional board members;\n(3) Arranging for a private and independent annual audit; and\n(4) Development of procedures for contracting for services.","path":["KRS Chapter 196"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=6853","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:49Z","sha256":"83b73e1aabd01af3443211d3753c317010b5e13d22b10d168085835caf1558f1","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-196.720","next":"us-ky/krs-196.730"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
