{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-197.150","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 197.150","heading":"Prisoners or dependents to receive compensation for work outside prison --","body":"Prisoners with dependents to have preference.\n(1) The administrative regulations made by the Department of Corrections shall provide\nsome definite compensation to be paid to ea ch prisoner or his dependents for each\nday he works outside of the prison. The department shall collect information\nconcerning the number and requirements of the dependents of each prisoner, and\nthose with families of greatest dependency shall be given pre ference in assignments\nto work outside of the prison, if the record, physical ability, and conduct of the\nprisoner warrants preference.\n(2) The administrative regulations may provide that any infraction of the regulations or\nof the regulations governing th e discipline of the prisoners, either while confined\nwithin the walls of the prison, or while engaged in employment outside the prison,\nshall work a forfeiture of the benefits authorized in this section, either in whole or\nin part, in the discretion of the  department.
