{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-198a.027","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 198A.027","heading":"Behavioral and rehabilitative requirements for permanent housing","body":"initiatives.\n(1) Notwithstanding any statute, administrative regulation, or common law to the\ncontrary, appropriations from the general fund, any restricted fund, or the road f und\nshall not be expended by any state or local officer, official, employee, or agency for\nany initiatives to provide permanent housing to homeless individuals if those\ninitiatives lack behavioral and rehabilitative requirements. Behavioral and\nrehabilitative requirements shall at a minimum include requirements that the\ninitiative facilitate appropriate treatment of any mental health conditions or\nsubstance use disorders and prohibit criminal activity.\n(2) This section shall not apply to statutorily created  housing programs or to domestic\nviolence shelters as defined in KRS 511.085.","path":["KRS Chapter 198A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=55450","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:50Z","sha256":"5c2683e31f91e23f563d95e9f1c8d918d77b622b26b9108aea49e284bd99f4a6","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-198a.025","next":"us-ky/krs-198a.030"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
