{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-198b.300","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 198B.300","heading":"Definitions for KRS  198B.310 to 198B.330.","body":"As used in KRS 198B.310 to 198B.330:\n(1) \"Safety glazing material\" means any glazing material, such as tempered glass,\nlaminated glass, wire glass, or rigid plastic that:\n(a) Meets  the test requirements of the current ANSI  standard or other\ngenerally accepted industry standard as adopted by the department\nthrough the promulgation of an administrative regulation;\n(b) Is so constructed, treated, or combined with other materials to minimize\nthe likelihood of cutting or piercing injuries resulting from human  contact\nwith the glazing material; and\n(c) Complies  with any further requirements that may  be adopted by the\ndepartment; and\n(2) \"Hazardous locations\" means  those installations, glazed or to be glazed, in\nresidential, commercial and public buildings known  as sliding glass doors,\nframed or unframed glass doors and adjacent fixed glazed panels which may\nbe mistaken for means  of ingress or egress, storm doors, shower doors, and\ntub inclosures, whether or not the glazing in such doors, panels or inclosures is\ntransparent, and in any other area wherein the use of other than safety glazing\nmaterials would constitute a hazard.","path":["KRS Chapter 198B"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=46909","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:51Z","sha256":"26fa6fc5a0d1cfd612b99eba03fb08dc3634939b2ac08ab0653bfce8c6060f3d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-198b.290","next":"us-ky/krs-198b.310"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
