{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-198b.4015","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 198B.4015","heading":"Qualifications for licensure prior to July 1, 2012.","body":"(1) An applicant for licensure as an elevator contractor under KRS 198B.4011 or as an\nelevator mechanic under KRS 198B.4013 who applies to the department prior to\nJuly 1, 2012, shall be licensed by the department without completing the licensure\nrequirements a s established in KRS 198B.400 to 198B.540, if the applicant is\ncurrently licensed, certified, or registered as an elevator contractor or elevator\nmechanic in another state whose standards are substantially equal to those in KRS\n198B.400 to 198B.540.\n(2) Prior to July 1, 2012, an applicant who does not qualify for licensure under KRS\n198B.4011 or 198B.4013 or subsection (1) of this section shall qualify for licensure\nby showing a minimum of three (3) years of verifiable experience engaging in\nbusiness as an elevator contractor or elevator mechanic in this state.\n(3) After July 1, 2012, licensure under this section shall cease.","path":["KRS Chapter 198B"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=36590","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:51Z","sha256":"7f44f215da2397a8ad96c083d149a53f956e43945bfb20e2406fd60ebba10bf2","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-198b.4013","next":"us-ky/krs-198b.4017"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
