{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-198b.6415","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 198B.6415","heading":"Suspension, revocation, or nonrenewal of certification -- Grounds --","body":"Hearing -- Appeal.\n(1) Subject to a hearing conducted in accordance with KRS Chapter 13B, the\ncommissioner may suspend, revoke, or refuse to renew the certification of a\ncertified fire sprinkler inspector for any of the following actions:\n(a) Use of false evidence or misrepresentation in an application for a fire sprinkler\ninspector's certification;\n(b) Attempting to transfer authority granted to the certified inspector to another\nindividual;\n(c) Incompetence or negligence in the inspection of fire protection sprinkler\nsystems as determined by the commissioner;\n(d) Conviction of a felony or of any crime an element of which is dishonesty or\nfraud, under the laws of any state or of the United States;\n(e) Fraudulent or dishonest practices while engaging in the business of sprinkler\nsystem inspections;\n(f) Aiding or abetting any person attempting to evade the provisions of this\nchapter; or\n(g) Violating any provision of this chapter or t he administrative regulations\npromulgated thereunder.\n(2) The commissioner shall revoke, subject to a hearing in accordance with KRS\nChapter 13B, the certification of a fire sprinkler inspector who engages in\ninspection activities during a suspension of his or her certification.\n(3) Any certification holder who is aggrieved by a final order of the commissioner,\nresulting in the suspension or revocation of certification, may appeal to the Circuit\nCourt of the county of the certified inspector's place of busi ness in accordance with\nKRS Chapter 13B.","path":["KRS Chapter 198B"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=36634","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:52Z","sha256":"fe70bbf12ca26853f759330693757e28fca52390b3f85c185dfdc81ce656ccda","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-198b.6413","next":"us-ky/krs-198b.6417"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
