{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-198b.667","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 198B.667","heading":"Interim period for use of recently deceased owner's or employee's master","body":"heating, ventilation, and air conditioning contractor's license.\n(1) The department shall grant an interim period of up to one hundred eighty (180)\ncontinuous calendar da ys to allow a company to utilize the master heating,\nventilation, and air conditioning contractor's license of a recently deceased owner or\ndeceased employee who procured heating, ventilation, and air conditioning permits\nfor that company, provided that the company:\n(a) Effectuates and documents all necessary bonding and insurance policies\nrequired in this chapter; and\n(b) Ensures that the bonding and insurance policies remain in effect for the\nentirety of the interim time period extended by the department.\n(2) The license of a deceased master heating, ventilation, and air conditioning\ncontractor shall be terminated by the department at the end of the interim period.\n(3) Upon termination of the deceased master heating, ventilation, and air conditioning\ncontractor's license, a company shall have an employee with a current and valid\nKentucky master heating, ventilation, and air conditioning contractor's license in\norder to procure permits and perform heating, ventilation, and air conditioning work\ngoverned by KRS 198B.650 to 198B.689.","path":["KRS Chapter 198B"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=47499","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:52Z","sha256":"03839408a57b47e2337ceb23ef1929d3e45c4e5e79d482c779835220ec2863e6","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-198b.666","next":"us-ky/krs-198b.6671"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
