{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-198b.672","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 198B.672","heading":"Sanctions -- Reasons for sanctions.","body":"Subject to a hearing conducted in accordance with KRS Chapter 13B, the department may\nrevoke, suspend, place on probation, or restrict the license or certificate of any licensee or\ncertificate holder; refuse to issue or renew a license or certificate; or r eprimand, censure,\nor fine a licensee or certificate holder for any of the following reasons:\n(1) Fraud or deceit in obtaining licensure or certification;\n(2) Transfer of the authority granted by the license or certificate to another person;\n(3) Unfair or deceptive trade practices;\n(4) Willful or deliberate disregard and violation of building codes, electrical codes, or\nrelated laws and ordinances of this Commonwealth or any city, county, or urban -\ncounty government;\n(5) Aiding or abetting any person attempting to evade the provisions of KRS 198B.650\nto 198B.689;\n(6) Conspiracy or knowingly combining with any person, to allow a license or\ncertificate to be used by an unlicensed or uncertified person, firm, or corporation\nwith intent to evade the provisions of  KRS 198B.650 to 198B.689. Allowing a\nlicense or certificate to be used by more than one (1) person shall be prima facie\nevidence of intent to evade the provisions of KRS 198B.650 to 198B.689;\n(7) Willful or deliberate disregard of disciplinary actions taken by the department, or of\na city, county, or urban-county government;\n(8) Negligence or incompetence in compliance with applicable codes and standards of\npractice;\n(9) Violation of any of the provisions of KRS 198B.650 to 198B.689 or any\nadministrative regulation promulgated by the department; or\n(10) Conviction of a crime as defined in KRS 335B.010, if in accordance with KRS\nChapter 335B.","path":["KRS Chapter 198B"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=46794","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:52Z","sha256":"5dcf48cd134187574f934bfdbf74e27ae3119c060619f369df85f2639244238d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-198b.670","next":"us-ky/krs-198b.674"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
