{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-198b.678","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 198B.678","heading":"Responsibilities of master contractor working for company.","body":"(1) No firm, company, or corporation may engage in the practice of heating, ventilation,\nand air conditioning contracting in any county of the Commonwealth, unless the\nperson in responsible charge of the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning work is\na master heating, ventilation, and air conditioning contractor and is an employee or\nsubcontractor of the firm, company, or corporation.\n(2) Each master heating, ventilation, and air conditioning contractor who is employed\nby a firm, company, or corporation eng aged in the practice of heating, ventilation,\nand air conditioning contracting shall notify the department of that employment and\nupon termination of the employment.\n(3) No master heating, ventilation, and air conditioning contractor shall represent more\nthan one (1) firm, company, or corporation unless the contractor is domiciled in the\nCommonwealth and has a minimum of twenty -five percent (25%) ownership in\neach firm, company, or corporation the contractor represents.","path":["KRS Chapter 198B"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=47498","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:52Z","sha256":"727b6d08af96b8ad72eb5c6adcfee82161c1f0823fbc049111690e7c0a13c946","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-198b.676","next":"us-ky/krs-198b.680"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
