{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-198b.714","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 198B.714","heading":"Reciprocity for licensees of other states.","body":"(1) The licensing requirements for a home inspector may be waived for a person\nmoving to Kentucky from another jurisdiction, and the person may be granted a\nlicense as a home inspector if:\n(a) The other jurisdiction grants the same privileges to licensees of K entucky as\nKentucky grants to licensees of that other jurisdiction;\n(b) The person is licensed in the other jurisdiction;\n(c) The licensing requirements of the other jurisdiction are determined by the\nboard to be substantially similar to the requirements o f KRS 198B.700 to\n198B.738; and\n(d) The person states that he or she has studied, is familiar with, and will abide by\nKRS 198B.700 to 198B.738 and the administrative regulations promulgated\nby the board.\n(2) A person seeking a license as a home inspector under this section shall:\n(a) Apply on a form prescribed and provided by the board; and\n(b) Pay the applicable licensing fee established by the board.","path":["KRS Chapter 198B"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=39905","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:52Z","sha256":"90d4e640b902619803c5c454cd39e633d6e752dce48b67a60d3a527127c28292","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-198b.712","next":"us-ky/krs-198b.716"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
