{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-199.461","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 199.461","heading":"Monthly regional, county, and statewide caseload average for social service","body":"workers -- Requirement of report if average in excess of specified quantity.\n(1) As used in this section, \"social service worker\" means a social worker employed by\nthe Cabinet for Health and Family Services, Department for Community Based\nServices, to provide direct casework services in foster care, child protection,\njuvenile services, or adult protection.\n(2) As used in this section, \"active case\" includes the total num ber of cases for which\nthe family service worker has responsibility.\n(3) The monthly statewide caseload average for social service workers in the area of\nfoster care, child protection, juvenile services, or adult protection shall not exceed\ntwenty-five (25) active cases.\n(4) Nothing in this section shall prevent the department or a social service worker from\nhandling emergencies to carry out statutory mandates. If the monthly regional,\ncounty, or statewide caseload average for social service workers exceeds  twenty-\nfive (25) active cases for ninety (90) consecutive days, the department shall report\nthe fact to the Governor and to the Legislative Research Commission together with\na description of the factors contributing thereto and shall make recommendations\nrelated thereto.
