{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-199.595","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 199.595","heading":"Legislative finding and purpose.","body":"(1) The General Assembly finds that:\n(a) Finding adoptive families for children, for whom state assistance is desirable\npursuant to KRS 199.555, and assuring the protection of the interests of the\nchildren affected during the entire assistance period, require special measures\nwhen the adoptive pa rents move to other states or are residents of another\nstate; and\n(b) Provision of medical and other necessary services for children, with state\nassistance, encounters special difficulties when the provision of services takes\nplace in other states.\n(2) The purposes of KRS 199.5951 to 199.5955 are to:\n(a) Authorize the Cabinet for Health and Family Services to enter into interstate\nagreements with agencies of other states for protection of children on behalf\nof whom adoption assistance is being provided by t he Cabinet for Health and\nFamily Services; and\n(b) Provide procedures for interstate children's adoption assistance payments,\nincluding medical payments.","path":["KRS Chapter 199"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=7198","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:54Z","sha256":"2e57b9f76bfee8c917cce581eac81c205ff4f3b66faa96556f25d43b4a272b69","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-199.590","next":"us-ky/krs-199.5951"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
