{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-199.899","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 199.899","heading":"Market -rate survey to determine rates for child -care services receiving","body":"public funds.\n(1) The Cabinet for Health and Family Services shall conduct a market -rate survey at\nleast biennially to set the minimum rates paid by the cabinet for child -care services\nreceiving public funds in the Commonwealth. The market-rate survey shall:\n(a) Survey all child -care programs in the Commonwealth licensed pursuant to\nKRS 199.896 or certified pursuant to KRS 199.8982;\n(b) Determine market rates; and\n(c) Make public its findings.\n(2) In counties containing no more than two (2) child -care programs of the same type\nregulated by the cabinet, the cabinet shall pay the rate charged by the program up to\nthe maximum allowable market rate, set in accordance with federal regula tions,\npaid to a program of the same type in that area development district.\n(3) The Cabinet for Health and Family Services shall evaluate, at least annually, the\nadequacy of the child -care subsidy to enable low income families in need of child -\ncare services to obtain child care.","path":["KRS Chapter 199"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=7246","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:55Z","sha256":"5d574f18d9cdb300ae420bac0be242c2f5ecd5f48ef213a371132b2903af5668","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-199.8984","next":"us-ky/krs-199.8992"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
