{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-2.230","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 2.230","heading":"Native American Indian Month.","body":"(1) The month of November of each year shall be observed in Kentucky as \"Native\nAmerican Indian Month\" and during this month schools, clubs, and civic and\nreligious organizations are encouraged to recognize the contributions of Native\nAmerican Indians with sui table ceremony and fellowship designed to promote\ngreater understanding and brotherhood between Native American Indians and the\nnon-Native American Indian people of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.\n(2) The Governor shall, prior to the first day of November of  each year, issue a\nproclamation inviting and urging the people of the Commonwealth to observe\nNative American Indian Month with suitable ceremony and fellowship.\n(3) The Kentucky Department of Education, Kentucky Heritage Council, and the\nNative American Heritage Commission established in KRS 171.820 shall, within\nthe limits of funds available for this purpose, make information available to all\npeople of this Commonwealth regarding Native American Indian Month and the\nobservance thereof.","path":["KRS Chapter 2"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=66","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:21Z","sha256":"890bc5b535428c5c36a9ea23cef8d087aa6ca945db7a12c8aafe351989710362","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-2.227","next":"us-ky/krs-2.233"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
