{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-200.470","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 200.470","heading":"Conditions of acceptance for children -- Payment for care.","body":"(1) No child shall be accepted for care or treatment by the Office for Children with\nSpecial Health Care Needs if his parents or legal guardian are able to pay for such\ntreatment, except where the child resides in an area of the state where adequate care\nand treatment are not otherwise available, in which event referral must be made by\nthe doctor caring for the child and the parents or guardian shall reimburse the Office\nfor Children with Special Health Care Needs for all cost expended by the office for\ntreatment.\n(2) In the event the Office for Children with Special Health Care Needs determines that\nthe parents or legal guardian of a child with a disability can pay only a portion of the\ncost of treatment through their own resources or through resources availabl e to\nthem, such parents or guardian shall pay such sums as they are able to pay and the\nfunds thus received shall be turned over to the Office for Children with Special\nHealth Care Needs and applied to the cost of treatment and care of the child.","path":["KRS Chapter 200"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=47927","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:56Z","sha256":"f81166bfe814537e7e1a828af661ddf22bab4e4ee98941765da784bd8602c5e9","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-200.460","next":"us-ky/krs-200.480"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
