{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-200.495","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 200.495","heading":"Definitions for chapter.","body":"As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires:\n(1) \"Recipient\" means any person who has received medical services provided by the\nOffice for Children with Special Health Care Needs  or who has received medical\nservices paid for on his behalf by the office;\n(2) \"Medical services\" means medical or medically -related institutional or\nnoninstitutional services which are provided to a recipient or paid for by the Office\nfor Children with Special Health Care Needs on behalf of a recipient; and\n(3) \"Third-party coverage\" means any public or private party who is liable to provide\nmedical services or to make medical services benefit payments to a recipient or\nother provider for medical services provided to a recipient under the terms of any\ncontract, health insurance policy, health insurance plan, settlement, or award.","path":["KRS Chapter 200"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=47929","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:56Z","sha256":"27895ce955fb8a778236068055ffc478b1766440e5286ffd04085678175c9ff2","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-200.490","next":"us-ky/krs-200.497"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
