{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-200.650","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 200.650","heading":"Legislative findings.","body":"The General Assembly hereby finds and declares that there is an urgent and substantial\nneed:\n(1) To enhance the development of all infants and toddlers with disabilities in the\nCommonwealth of Kentucky in order to minimize developmental delay, and to\nmaximize individual potential for adult independence;\n(2) To enhance the capacity of families to meet the needs of their infants and toddlers\nwith disabilities;\n(3) To reduce the educational costs by minimizing the need for special education and\nrelated services after infants and toddlers with disabilities reach school age;\n(4) To reduce future social services costs and to minimize the likelihood of\ninstitutionalization of individuals with disabilities;\n(5) To prevent secondary impairments and disabilities by im proving the health of\ninfants and toddlers, thereby reducing health costs for the families and the state; and\n(6) To comply with federal law as it pertains to services for infants and toddlers with\ndisabilities and their families.","path":["KRS Chapter 200"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=7321","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:56Z","sha256":"eafdfd5a99eb82b45741f62ed22043f51cd7afc242053ff0f623b91831cbc66e","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-200.605","next":"us-ky/krs-200.652"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
