{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-200.660","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 200.660","heading":"Duties of the cabinet -- Authority for administrative regulations.","body":"The cabinet shall:\n(1) Administer all funds appropriated to implement the provisions of KRS 200.650 to\n200.676;\n(2) Identify and coordinate all available financial resources for early intervention within\nthe Commonwealth from federal, state, local, and pri vate sources, including but not\nlimited to:\n(a) Title V of the Federal Social Security Act relating to maternal and child\nhealth;\n(b) Title XIX of the Federal Social Security Act relating to Medicaid and the\nEarly Periodic Screening Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) program;\n(c) The Federal Head Start Act;\n(d) The Federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, Parts B and H;\n(e) The Federal Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1964 Title I, Chapter\nI, Part B, Subpart 2 as amended;\n(f) The Federal Developmentally Disabled Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, P.L.\n100-146;\n(g) Other federal programs; and\n(h) Private insurance.\n(3) Develop a sliding fee scale of the cost of early intervention services to families,\nincluding those circumstances where no fee shall be required;\n(4) Make available, in addition to the services specified in KRS 200.654(7), social skill\ndevelopment and behavioral therapy services to infants and toddlers with a\ndiagnosis of pervasive developmental disorders;\n(5) Enter into contracts with service providers within a local community aided by the\ndistrict committee in identifying providers;\n(6) Develop procedures to monitor and evaluate services that are provided to infants\nand toddlers with disabilities and their families;\n(7) Develop procedures to ensure that early intervention services identified on the\nindividualized family service plan are provided to eligible infants and toddlers with\ndisabilities and their families in a timely manner pending resolution of any di sputes\namong public agencies or service providers; and\n(8) In conjunction with the council and district early intervention committees,\npromulgate administrative regulations, pursuant to KRS Chapter 13A, necessary to\nimplement the provisions of KRS 200.650 to 200.676.","path":["KRS Chapter 200"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=7326","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:56Z","sha256":"bc9ce4e9cf8840477d62e900d51a20ed9b93ab6dc45bfeaec97dc2d3cf28610b","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-200.658","next":"us-ky/krs-200.662"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
