{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-200.666","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 200.666","heading":"Cabinet's monitoring of personnel standards for service providers -","body":"Personnel development.\n(1) The cabinet shall monitor personnel standards for service providers to ensure the\nqualified service providers necessary to carry out the provisions of KRS 2 00.650 to\n200.676 are appropriately and adequately prepared and trained in order to comply\nwith the requirements of federal law and regulations.\n(2) The cabinet shall provide the components of a comprehensive system of personnel\ndevelopment which shall include:\n(a) Preservice and inservice training conducted on an interdisciplinary basis to the\nextent appropriate; and\n(b) Training provided for a variety of entities, including but not limited to, public\nand private providers, primary referral sources, parents, paraprofessionals, and\npersons who serve as professional service coordinators or case managers.\n(3) Training may include:\n(a) Implementing innovative strategies and activities for the recruitment and\nretention of early intervention service providers;\n(b) Promoting the preparation of early intervention providers who are fully and\nappropriately qualified to provide early intervention;\n(c) Training personnel to work in rural areas; and\n(d) Recruiting and training personnel to coordinate transition services for infants\nand toddlers with disabilities from an early intervention program to a\npreschool program.\n(4) The cabinet shall coordinate with other agencies in the provision of the\ncomprehensive system of personnel development activities.","path":["KRS Chapter 200"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=7329","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:56Z","sha256":"82209cdde8546f85e51d6fd7bec23d7d944a2deeccf83f4b1afcf0ce65c43a19","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-200.664","next":"us-ky/krs-200.668"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
