{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-200.672","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 200.672","heading":"Rights of disabled child, parent, or guardian being served by the system.","body":"Kentucky's participation in Part C of the Federal Individuals with Disabilities Education\nAct requires that an infant or toddler with a disability who is being served by the\nKentucky Early Intervention System and the parent or guardian of that child shall have\nthe following rights:\n(1) To a timely, multidisciplinary evaluation and assessment;\n(2) To appropriate early intervention services for children and families;\n(3) To refuse evaluation, assessment, or services;\n(4) To written notice before a change is m ade in the identification, evaluation, or\nplacement of the child, or in the provision of services to the child or family;\n(5) To written notice before a refusal of services is made in the identification,\nevaluation, or placement of the child, or in the pro vision of services to the child or\nfamily;\n(6) To confidentiality of personally identifiable information, including the right of the\nparent or guardian to be provided written notice of, and written consent to, the\nexchange of information among agencies, consistent with federal and state laws;\n(7) To determine if any family member will accept or decline an early intervention\nservice under KRS 200.650 to 200.676, in accordance with state law, without\njeopardizing other early intervention services under KRS 200.650 to 200.676;\n(8) To review all records and, if appropriate, to amend records;\n(9) To bring an advocate or attorney into any and all dealings with the early\nintervention system; and\n(10) To administrative process and judicial review in accordance with KRS Chapter 13B\nto resolve complaints.","path":["KRS Chapter 200"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=7332","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:56Z","sha256":"5427dcf91f858e75d48992c468eee838c712e7faa67f776dd7c50533cdf7f311","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-200.670","next":"us-ky/krs-200.674"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
