{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-202a.0817","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 202A.0817","heading":"Treatment plan required for court-ordered assisted outpatient","body":"treatment.\nNo  later than the date of the hearing held pursuant to KRS  202A.0811, the qualified\nmental  health professional who  examined  the respondent pursuant to KRS\n202A.0811  shall provide to the court and the respondent a proposed written\ntreatment plan for the respondent for court-ordered assisted outpatient treatment,\nwhich shall have the goal of recovery. In developing a treatment plan, a qualified\nmental health professional shall:\n(1) Provide reasonable opportunities for the respondent to actively participate in\nthe development of the treatment plan and any modifications thereafter, and\ninvolve any other persons whom  the respondent requests to have participate;\n(2) Follow any advanced directive for mental health treatment executed by the\nrespondent; and\n(3) Include in the treatment plan:\n(a) A  proactive crisis plan that includes access to emergency  or crisis\nservices twenty-four (24) hours a day and the contact information to\naccess such crisis services; and\n(b) Evidence-based practices. As used in this paragraph, \"evidence-based\npractices\" means  intervention programs, policies, procedures, and\npractices that have been  rigorously tested; are proven by scientific\nresearch; have yielded consistent, replicable results; and have proven\nsafe, beneficial, and effective for most people diagnosed with mental\nillness when  implemented competently. Evidence-based practices may\ninclude but are not limited to psychotropic medications, psychosocial\nrehabilitation, recovery-oriented therapies, assertive community\ntreatment, supported employment, supported housing, and peer support\nservices.","path":["KRS Chapter 202A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=46750","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:51:59Z","sha256":"afdb1c307fc5e1a749f91a8ae756d2bb6bd7919471245cf57a916c2aa0404615","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-202a.0815","next":"us-ky/krs-202a.0819"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
