{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-202c.140","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 202C.140","heading":"Rights of involuntarily committed patients.","body":"A  respondent involuntarily committed under this chapter shall have the following\nrights as a patient:\n(1) The  right to be adequately informed as to his or her individual treatment\nprogram;\n(2) The right to assist in the planning of his or her treatment program;\n(3) The right to refuse treatment subject to the provisions of KRS 202C.150;\n(4) The right to maintain, keep, and use personal possessions and money;\n(5) The right to receive visitors;\n(6) The  right to receive payment for work performed on behalf of the forensic\npsychiatric facility;\n(7) The  right to refuse intrusive treatment subject to the provisions of KRS\n202C.150;\n(8) The right to be free from unreasonable use of seclusion and restraint;\n(9) The right to seek relief from participating in his or her treatment plan; and\n(10) The  right to the assistance of counsel to uphold these rights and all rights\nunder this chapter.","path":["KRS Chapter 202C"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=50878","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:01Z","sha256":"f3d9691fc3fce54cbd1987ad4678a30f1bddb08abc9e1f14d3f32208681b6d57","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-202c.130","next":"us-ky/krs-202c.150"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
