{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-205.513","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 205.513","heading":"Eligibility determinations and redeterminations.","body":"(1) Beginning January 1, 2027, the cabinet shall, in accordance with 42 U.S.C. sec.\n1396a(e)(14)(L), conduct Medicaid eligibility redeterminations once every six (6)\nmonths for individuals who are:\n(a) Described in 42 U.S.C. sec. 1396a(e)(14)(L)(i)(I) and (II); and\n(b) Not exempted under 42 U.S.C. sec. 1396a(e)(14)(L)(ii).\n(2) When conducting eligibility determinations and redeterminations, including but not\nlimited to redeterminations required under subsection (1) of this section, the cabinet\nshall:\n(a) Access and review information from all available federal and state data\nsystems that may contain information related to eligibility for enrollment or\ncontinued enrollment in the Medicaid program, including but not limited to:\n1. The Public Assistance Reporting Information System, or PARIS;\n2. The Transformed Medicaid Statistical Information System, or T-MSIS;\n3. The T-MSIS Analytic Files, or TAF; and\n4. All data described in KRS 205.178;\n(b) Except as provided in KRS 205.200(11) and to the extent permitted under\nfederal law, issue an initial finding of ineligibility that may be appealed by the\nindividual through the cabinet's established appeals process if the cabinet\nfinds or reviews inconsis tent or contradictory data from the various data\nsources the cabinet is required to review under paragraph (a) of this\nsubsection and any data source reflects that the individual whose eligibility is\nbeing determined or redetermined is ineligible to enroll  in or continue to be\nenrolled in the Medicaid program; and\n(c) Assess and make a determination regarding the individual's eligibility for\nMedicaid-covered nonemergency medical transportation services.","path":["KRS Chapter 205"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=57025","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:03Z","sha256":"c60f763fdf7b12cc2cc1dcbfa7ac84fdafd67457408a82485ba6bedc51d848fa","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-205.512","next":"us-ky/krs-205.514"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
