{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-205.619","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 205.619","heading":"Medicaid plan amendment to permit establishing of Kentucky Long -Term","body":"Care Partnership Insurance Program.\n(1) By October 30, 2008, the Cabinet for Health and Family Services shall submit to\nthe Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services an amen dment to the State\nMedicaid Plan to permit the establishment of a Kentucky Long -Term Care\nPartnership Insurance Program that provides for the disregard of any assets or\nresources in an amount equal to the insurance benefit payments made to or on\nbehalf of an individual who is a beneficiary of the partnership insurance program\nthat meets the requirements of KRS 304.14-640 and 304.14-642.\n(2) The secretary of the cabinet shall notify in writing the commissioner of the\nDepartment of Insurance and the Interim J oint Committee on Banking and\nInsurance within two (2) business days of the submission of the plan amendment\nand of the receipt of the response by the federal agency.\n(3) Upon approval by the federal government of the state plan amendment, the\nDepartment f or Medicaid Services, in conjunction with the Department of\nInsurance, shall establish the Kentucky Long -Term Care Partnership Insurance\nProgram in accordance with KRS 304.14-640 and 304.14-642.\n(4) The department shall:\n(a) Provide consultation, informati on, and materials to the Department of\nInsurance to assist in the development and issuance of uniform training\nmaterials in accordance with KRS 304.14-642(4); and\n(b) Collaborate in the preparation of the report required in KRS 304.14-642(6).","path":["KRS Chapter 205"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=53686","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:04Z","sha256":"2e72f169bb4dd1bedbfd33931cec9edf360250fc271ea192b7c5a627dacbdc47","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-205.618","next":"us-ky/krs-205.620"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
