{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-205.6411","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 205.6411","heading":"Definitions for KRS 205.6411 and 205.6412.","body":"As used in this section and KRS 205.6412:\n(1) \"Department\" means the Department for Medicaid Services;\n(2) \"Managed care\" means the provision of Medicaid benefits through Medicaid\nmanaged care organizations under contract with the department pursuant to 42\nC.F.R. sec. 438;\n(3) \"Medicaid managed care organization\" means an entity contracted with the\ndepartment to provide Medicaid benefits pursuant to 42 C.F.R. sec. 438;\n(4) \"Qualifying hospital\" means a Medicaid -participating, in -state hospital licensed\nunder KRS Chapter 216B, including a long -term acute hospital as defined in KRS\n205.639, but excluding a state mental hospital as defined in KRS 205.639; and\n(5) \"University hospital\" means a state university teaching hospital, owned or operated\nby either the U niversity of Kentucky College of Medicine or the University of\nLouisville School of Medicine, including a hospital owned or operated by a related\norganization pursuant to 42 C.F.R. sec. 413.17.","path":["KRS Chapter 205"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=54957","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:04Z","sha256":"de1853f66a8a0586d5d3a12cbab99b8e716d7342c2d1ac7df8f2f1a12c82e7b7","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-205.641","next":"us-ky/krs-205.6412"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
