{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-207.260","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 207.260","heading":"Right of action -- Recovery for each violation.","body":"(1) Any person aggrieved by a violation of KRS 207.135, 207.150, 207.160, or 304.12 -\n013 shall have a right of action in District Court and may recover for each violation:\n(a) Against any person who violates a provision of this section, liquidated\ndamages of on e thousand dollars ($1,000) or actual damages, whichever is\ngreater.\n(b) Against any person who intentionally or recklessly violates a provision of this\nsection, liquidated damages of five thousand dollars ($5,000) or actual\ndamages, whichever is greater.\n(c) Reasonable attorney's fees.\n(d) Such other relief, including an injunction, as the court shall deem appropriate.\n(2) Nothing in this section limits the right of the person aggrieved by a violation of this\nsection to recover damages or other relief under any other applicable law.","path":["KRS Chapter 207"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=7929","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:06Z","sha256":"b47d42cfef305aa8e3cc9b6fc9bbcd941dc28494af7f9e32aed9492eca4adc1d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-207.250","next":"us-ky/krs-208.010"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
