{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-209a.110","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 209A.110","heading":"Report by professional to law enforcement concerning belief that client's","body":"or patient's death is related to domestic violence and abuse or dating violence\nand abuse.\n(1) (a) A professional shall report to a law enforcement officer his or her belief that\nthe death of a victim with whom he or she has had a professional interaction is\nrelated to domestic violence and abuse or dating violence and abuse.\n(b) Following a report to a local law enforcement officer, the local law\nenforcement officer shall indicate a report was made by a professional on the\nJC-3 or equivalent form.\n(2) Nothing in this chapter shall relieve a professional of the duty pursuant to KRS\n620.030 to report any known or suspected abuse, neglect, or dependency of a child.\n(3) Nothing in this chapter shall relieve a professional of the duty pursuant to KRS\n209.030 to report to the cabinet any known or suspected abuse, neglect, or\nexploitation of a person eighteen (18) years of age or older who because of mental\nor physical dysfunction is unable to manage his or her own resources, carry out the\nactivity of daily living, or protect himself or herself from neglect, exploitation, or a\nhazardous or abusive situation without assistance from others.","path":["KRS Chapter 209A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=53167","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:10Z","sha256":"2fddf9d9552c98a1a07d615beb7d9ff9dca764ff0a2bfc0933b3728946480ee4","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-209a.100","next":"us-ky/krs-209a.120"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
