{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-210.271","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 210.271","heading":"State hospital patients to be discharged to registered boarding homes only","body":"-- Quarterly follow-up visits by cabinet.\n(1) No patient in an institution for the mentally ill or the intellectually disabled operated\nby the Cabinet for Health and Family S ervices shall be discharged to a boarding\nhome as defined in KRS 216B.300 unless the boarding home is registered pursuant\nto KRS 216B.305.\n(2) The cabinet shall conduct a quarterly follow -up visit, using cabinet personnel or\nthrough contract with the Regio nal Community Mental Health Centers, of all\npatients of state facilities for mental health or individuals with an intellectual\ndisability that are discharged to boarding homes. Any resident found to have needs\nthat cannot be met by the boarding home shall be referred to the Department for\nCommunity Based Services for appropriate placement.
