{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-210.506","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 210.506","heading":"Regional planning councils -- Groups to be invited to join council.","body":"(1) The regional community boards for mental health or individuals with an intellectual\ndisability established under KRS 210.370 shall institute regional planning councils\nfor the purpose of conducting assessment and strategic planning. The councils shall\nbe a ttached to the community boards for mental health or individuals with an\nintellectual disability for administrative purposes.\n(2) A member of the regional community board for mental health or individuals with an\nintellectual disability shall serve as chair of the regional planning council.\n(3) The board shall issue invitations to join the council to no less than two (2)\nrepresentatives of each of the following groups:\n(a) Family members of individuals with mental illness, substance use disorder,\nand dual diagnoses;\n(b) Consumers of mental health and substance use disorder services;\n(c) County officials and business leaders;\n(d) Health departments and primary care physicians;\n(e) Advocates and community organizations;\n(f) Educators and school personnel;\n(g) Regional interagency councils established under KRS Chapter 200;\n(h) Law enforcement and court personnel;\n(i) Public and private organizations, agencies, or facilities that provide services\nfor mental health and substance use disorder in the region that rep resent\ninpatient services, outpatient services, residential services, and community -\nbased supportive housing programs;\n(j) Individuals who provide mental health and substance use disorder services in\nthe region; and\n(k) Public and private hospitals that pr ovide mental health and substance use\ndisorder services.\n(4) The regional planning councils may establish bylaws and procedures to assist in the\noperation of the councils.","path":["KRS Chapter 210"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=48984","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:11Z","sha256":"210944c2cb28ec4ce0c17ddd43d077763a43cc81ef5f2f25b729485a2b9b48b5","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-210.504","next":"us-ky/krs-210.509"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
