{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-211.015","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 211.015","heading":"Definitions for KRS  211.005 to 211.380.","body":"(1) As used in KRS 211.005 to 211.380, unless the context requires otherwise:\n(a) \"Cabinet\" means the Cabinet for Health and Family Services;\n(b) \"Farmstead\" means  a farm dwelling, together with other farm buildings\nand  structures incident to the operation and maintenance of the farm,\nsituated on ten (10) contiguous acres or more  of land outside the\ncorporate limits of a municipality:\n1. Used  for the production of livestock, livestock products, poultry,\npoultry products, dairy, dairy products, or horticulture products or for\nthe growing of crops such as, but not limited to, tobacco, corn,\nsoybeans, and wheat. For purposes of this paragraph, \"livestock\"\nmeans  cattle, sheep, swine, goats, horses, alpacas, llamas,\nbuffaloes, or any other animals of the bovine, ovine, porcine,\ncaprine, equine, or camelid species; or\n2. Where  devoted to and meeting the requirements and qualifications\nfor payments pursuant to agriculture programs under an agreement\nwith the state or federal government;\n(c) \"Secretary\" means  the secretary of the Cabinet for Health and Family\nServices; and\n(d) \"Private water supply\" means  a residential water supply located on\nprivate property under the control of a person holding a possessory\ninterest in the property, the use of which is limited to family members.\n(2) As used in KRS 200.560 and 200.550, unless the context otherwise requires:\n(a) \"Department\" means Department for Public Health;\n(b) \"Commissioner\" means  the commissioner of the Department for Public\nHealth;\n(c) \"Committee\" means the Hemophilia Advisory Committee; and\n(d) \"Hemophilia\" means  a bleeding disorder resulting from a genetically\ndetermined deficiency factor in the blood, or hereditarily resulting in an\nabnormal or deficient plasma procoagulant.","path":["KRS Chapter 211"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=46644","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:11Z","sha256":"aa511528a943955f6b77630165ce8c3cf6b2214c237c0a3d53f2136de769a611","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-211.010","next":"us-ky/krs-211.020"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
