{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-211.123","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 211.123","heading":"Kentucky Maternal Psychiatry Access Program -- Hotline --","body":"Administrative regulations.\n(1) The Kentucky Maternal Psychiatry Access Program, also known as the Kentucky\nLifeline for Moms, is hereby established. The purpose of the program shall b e to\nhelp health care practitioners in the Commonwealth meet the needs of a mother\nwith mental illness or an intellectual disability.\n(2) The program shall be operated by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services,\nDepartment for Public Health, Division of Maternal and Child Health.\n(3) The program shall, at a minimum, employ a psychiatrist licensed pursuant to KRS\nChapter 311 and a psychologist licensed pursuant to KRS Chapter 319.\n(4) The program shall operate a dedicated hotline phone number Monday throu gh\nFriday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time that serves as the entry point to the program\nfor health care practitioners to be able to get services for a mother with mental\nillness or with an intellectual disability. Services shall include:\n(a)  An immediate clinical consultation over the telephone;\n(b) An expedited face-to-face mental health consultation;\n(c) Care coordination for assistance with referrals to community behavioral\nhealth services; and\n(d) Continuing professional education specifically designe d for health care\npractitioners.\n(5) The department shall, within sixty (60) days of July 15, 2024, promulgate\nadministrative regulations in accordance with KRS Chapter 13A to implement the\nprovisions of this section.","path":["KRS Chapter 211"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=55571","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:11Z","sha256":"bae956069ece1878d65a6109cc3ede112402614d4b65ac99b9c04376bbd997a3","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-211.122","next":"us-ky/krs-211.125"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
