{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-211.182","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 211.182","heading":"Treatment of cancer restricted to physicians.","body":"(1) For the purposes of this section, \"cancer\" means all malignant neoplasms regardless\nof the tissue of origin, including malignant lymphoma and leukemia.\n(2) No person, other than a licensed medical or osteopathic physician, or dentist, shall\nin any manner hold himself out to any other person as being able to prescribe\ntreatment for, or cure the disease of cancer.\n(3) No person, other than a licensed medical or osteopathic physician, or dentist, shall\nin any manner undertake to treat, or prescribe for the t reatment of the disease of\ncancer.\n(4) No person shall sell or offer to sell, or give away or offer to give away, except upon\nthe prescription of a licensed medical or osteopathic physician, or dentist, any drug,\nmedicine, compound, nostrum or device whic h is represented by the manufacturer\nor seller thereof to have curative powers when used in the treatment of the disease\nof cancer.\n(5) Nothing contained herein shall be construed to impose any limitation upon the free\nexercise of religion in this state.","path":["KRS Chapter 211"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=8360","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:12Z","sha256":"5e700b5eafa3d51599f38ec0bcbd6795302c62d7878555745f9d84e4daadae26","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-211.180","next":"us-ky/krs-211.184"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
