{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-211.188","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 211.188","heading":"Alzheimer's disease awareness -- Publication of materials by Department","body":"for Aging and Independent Living.\n(1) The Department for Aging and Independent Living shall collaborate with the\nDepartment for Public Health and the Alzheimer's Associat ion of Greater Kentucky\nand Southern Indiana to update and incorporate into the materials the Department\nfor Aging and Independent Living publishes and distributes to the public, the\nfollowing information:\n(a) To aid people's understanding and awareness of Alzheimer's disease and other\ndementias, including links to chronic conditions such as vascular disease,\ndiabetes, and smoking;\n(b) On early signs of Alzheimer's disease and other dementias that should be\ndiscussed with healthcare professionals; and\n(c) On steps that can be taken to reduce the risk of cognitive decline, particularly\namong persons in communities who are at greater risk of developing\nAlzheimer's disease and other types of dementia.\n(2) The Department for Aging and Independent Living shall pu blish the materials from\nsubsection (1) of this section on its website and distribute the materials to all sixty -\none (61) local health departments in Kentucky by:\n(a) Digital formats;\n(b) Physical copies of campaign materials; or\n(c) In conjunction with educational programming.","path":["KRS Chapter 211"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=54199","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:12Z","sha256":"db896ec27a456713ce06f3f9bd2f166c678141d9a41d1b02fd8427403ed0b191","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-211.187","next":"us-ky/krs-211.190"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
