{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-211.370","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 211.370","heading":"Issuance of plumbing installation permits for on -site sewage disposal","body":"systems -- Local board of health as agent for cabinet -- Regulations.\nThe commissioner of the Department for Public Health shall, upon written request from a\nlocal board of health, authorize the local board of health to serve as its agent to issue\npermits for on-site sewage disposal systems as described in KRS 211.350 within that area\nof local board jurisdiction. As agent, the authorized local board of health shall act for the\ncabinet in issuing permits and granting variances for on -site sewage disposal systems.\nActions by the local board of health shall comply with the regulations established by the\ncabinet relating to on -site sewage disposal systems. The local board of health shall\ninclude in the written request a procedure for administering this section. The local board\nof health may adopt regulations relating to the proper operation and maintenance of on -\nsite sewage disposal systems. In counties containing a city of the first class  or a\nconsolidated local government and in urban-counties, the local board of health may adopt\nregulations relating to the proper construction, installation, and alteration of on -site\nsewage disposal systems which are more stringent than the regulations ad opted by the\ncabinet.","path":["KRS Chapter 211"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=8390","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:12Z","sha256":"02b3c0383d9bc854ddc3eda2085f8f89adbdc059144e6c5f48fff6be6d8ce39f","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-211.365","next":"us-ky/krs-211.375"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
