{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-211.430","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 211.430","heading":"Eligibility of applicants -- Contract to practice.","body":"(1) To be eligible for a scholarship made available under KRS 211.405 to 211.460, an\napplicant must:\n(a) Have been a resident of this Commonwealth for not less than five (5) years\nimmediately preceding the date of application;\n(b) Be acceptable for enrollment in a dental school accredited by the Council on\nDental Education of the American Dental Association, and approved by the\nboard; and\n(c) Furnish satisfactory evidence to the board that he does not have sufficient\nfinancial resources to enable him to study dentistry without assistance.\n(2) Before a scholarship is granted, the applicant shall contract in writing with the\nboard, that he will, within six (6) months from the date he completes his term of\nstudy, engage in the practice of dentistry in a locality or  localities within this\nCommonwealth to be designated by the Dental Health Program of the Cabinet for\nHealth and Family Services, at the rate of one (1) year for each annual scholarship\nreceived, or proportional time for partial scholarships.","path":["KRS Chapter 211"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=8402","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:12Z","sha256":"db07c94f9796814a08d0f2e628a58db2b807e9883291c526fc9b08d583fb3e45","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-211.420","next":"us-ky/krs-211.440"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
