{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-211.440","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 211.440","heading":"Effect of breach of contract.","body":"(1) If the recipient of a scholarship fails, without justifiable cause to practice dentistry\nin the locality designated, the entire amount of scholarship benefits received under\nthe provisions of KRS 211.405 to 211.460 plus six percent (6%) interest thereon,\nshall become due and payable. However, where the board determines there is\njustifiable cause for the failure to practice, it may relieve the recipient of the\nobligation to practice, and shall provide for repayment of the amount received plus\nsix percent (6%) interest on any terms it deems proper.\n(2) Upon recommendation of the board, the Attorney General shall institute\nproceedings for the purpose of recovering any amount due the Commonwealth\nunder the provisions of this section.\n(3) Failure of a recipient o f a scholarship to perform his obligations with respect to his\ncontract to practice in a designated locality shall constitute grounds for revocation\nof his license to practice dentistry within the Commonwealth.","path":["KRS Chapter 211"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=8403","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:12Z","sha256":"a4466d9074f07e219954963699a559b46cfad8d455f0efbe746ba8aab8000330","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-211.430","next":"us-ky/krs-211.450"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
