{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-211.752","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 211.752","heading":"Annual reports to Legislative Research Commission.","body":"The Department for Medicaid Services, the Department for Public Health, the Office of\nHealth Data and Analytics, and the Personnel Cabinet shall submit a report to the\nLegislative Research Commission by January 10 of each odd -numbered year on the\nfollowing:\n(1) The financial impact and reach diabetes of all types is having on the entity, the\nCommonwealth, and localities. Items included in this assessment shall include the\nnumber of lives with diabetes impacted or covered by the entity, the number of lives\nwith diabetes and family members impacted by prevention and diabetes control\nprograms implemented by the entity, the financial toll or impact diabetes and its\ncomplications places on the program, and the financial toll or impact diabetes and\nits complications places on the program in comparison to other chronic diseases and\nconditions;\n(2) An assessment of the benefits of implemented programs and activities aimed at\ncontrolling diabetes and preventing the disease. This assessment shall also\ndocument the amou nt and source for any funding directed to the agency or entity\nfrom the Kentucky General Assembly for programs and activities aimed at reaching\nthose with diabetes;\n(3) A description of the level of coordination existing between the entities on activities,\nprogrammatic activities, and messaging on managing, treating, or preventing all\nforms of diabetes and its complications;\n(4) The development or revision of detailed action plans for battling diabetes with a\nrange of actionable items for consideration by t he General Assembly. The plans\nshall identify proposed action steps to reduce the impact of diabetes, prediabetes,\nand related diabetes complications. The plan shall also identify expected outcomes\nof the action steps proposed in the following biennium whi le also establishing\nbenchmarks for controlling and preventing relevant forms of diabetes; and\n(5) The development of a detailed budget blueprint identifying needs, costs, and\nresources required to implement the plan identified in subsection (4) of this se ction.\nThis blueprint shall include a budget range for all options presented in the plan\nidentified in subsection (4) of this section for consideration by the General\nAssembly.","path":["KRS Chapter 211"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=48808","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:13Z","sha256":"ca56d0d006dc956419538c5dfabf0feeb5c3f2251076bfc7e0db14b2e1b2d104","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-211.751","next":"us-ky/krs-211.753"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
