{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-211.842","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 211.842","heading":"Duties of Cabinet for Health and Family Services -- Right of entry upon","body":"property.\n(1) The Cabinet for Health and Family Services is the radiation control agency of the\nState of Kentucky.\n(2) The Cabinet for Health and Family Services shall issue licen ses pertaining to\nradioactive materials and require registration of other sources of ionizing radiation.\n(3) The Cabinet for Health and Family Services shall develop and conduct programs for\nevaluation and control of hazards associated with the use of sour ces of ionizing,\nnonionizing, and electronic product radiation.\n(4) The cabinet or its duly authorized representative may enter at a reasonable time\nupon the property of a licensee, registrant, or other person where sources of\nionizing, nonionizing, or ele ctronic product radiation are reasonably believed to be\nlocated for the purpose of determining whether or not such licensee, registrant, or\nother person is in compliance with or in violation of the provisions of KRS 211.842\nto 211.852 and administrative re gulations promulgated hereunder, and the owner,\noccupant, or person in charge of the property shall permit entry and inspection;\nprovided, that entry into areas under the jurisdiction of an agency of the federal\ngovernment or its duly designated representa tive shall be only upon permission of\nthe agency or its representative.","path":["KRS Chapter 211"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=8486","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:14Z","sha256":"568e16d5f0a92a559a00ec2a6057ef2a40b82188e9f79d9403a0dd40f3aea447","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-211.840","next":"us-ky/krs-211.843"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
