{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-211.9065","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 211.9065","heading":"Accreditation for training programs providing education for certification","body":"in lead-hazard detection or abatement services -- Administrative regulations.\n(1) Beginning January 1, 1997, all training programs providing or offering to provide\nan educational program designed to prepare persons for certification in lead -hazard\ndetection or lead -hazard abatement services, pursuant to KRS 211.9063, shall be\naccredited pursuant to this section.\n(2) The Department for Public Health shall create and administer an  accreditation\nprogram for training programs providing or offering to provide an educational\nprogram designed to prepare persons for certification in lead -hazard detection or\nlead-hazard abatement services.\n(3) No later than October 1, 1996, the department  shall promulgate administrative\nregulations pursuant to KRS Chapter 13A to establish:\n(a) The requirements for accreditation of training providers;\n(b) The minimum requirements for curriculum content;\n(c) The number of training hours to be completed by the trainee;\n(d) The minimum amount of the training which requires the trainee to practice or\notherwise apply lead -hazard detection or abatement skills or techniques in a\nhands-on manner; and\n(e) The competency and proficiency to be demonstrated by the train ee in order to\nsuccessfully complete the training.\n(4) No later than October 1, 1996, the department shall promulgate administrative\nregulations pursuant to KRS Chapter 13A to provide for enforcement of the quality\ncontrol standards for accredited training  programs. The department may revoke,\nsuspend, or restrict the certificate of accreditation for training providers and may\nrefuse to issue or renew a certificate of accreditation to a training provider which\nfails to comply with accreditation requirements.","path":["KRS Chapter 211"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=8521","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:14Z","sha256":"27e83df2ab460fe76b332e1dcfc827bc4284ee2100662b772908ed104b6b3abf","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-211.9063","next":"us-ky/krs-211.9067"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
