{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-211.951","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 211.951","heading":"Newborn infant -- Implied consent to medical treatment by emergency","body":"services provider -- Confidentiality of person placing infant with provider.\n(1) As used in this section, \"newborn infant\" means an infant who is medically\ndetermined to be less than thirty (30) days old.\n(2) Any emergency medical services provider accepting physical custody of a newborn\ninfant in accordance with KRS 405.075 shall have implied consent to any and all\nappropriate medical treatment.\n(3) Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, the identity of a person\nplacing a newborn infant with an emergency medical services provider shall be\nconfidential.\n(4) The provisions of subsection (3) of this section shall not apply when indicators of\nchild physical abuse or child neglect are present.","path":["KRS Chapter 211"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=45352","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:14Z","sha256":"9f5d7a3d76a5883bf9286ce173777673305a191a5a361cc6eae173622d54e75d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-211.950","next":"us-ky/krs-211.952"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
