{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-212.626","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 212.626","heading":"Definitions for KRS 212.627 to 212.639.","body":"As used in KRS 212.627 to 212.639, unless the context otherwise requires:\n(1) \"Board\" means the urban-county board of health;\n(2) \"City-county board of health\" means the city, county, or city -county board of health\nexisting in the county on July 1, 1977;\n(3) \"City-county department of health\" means the city, county, or city -county\ndepartment of health existing in the county on July 1, 1977;\n(4) \"Commissioner\" means the commissioner of health for the urban -county health\ndepartment;\n(5) \"County\" means any cou nty of the Commonwealth containing any city with a\npopulation of over one hundred thousand (100,000) at the time of merger creating\nan urban-county form of government;\n(6) \"Department\" means the urban -county department of health as created in KRS\n212.627 and its designated agents;\n(7) \"Cabinet\" means the Cabinet for Health and Family Services;\n(8) \"Mayor\" means the chief executive officer of any county containing any city with a\npopulation of over one hundred thousand (100,000) at the time of merger creatin g\nan urban-county form of government; and\n(9) \"Person\" means any person, or domestic or foreign individual corporation,\ngovernment, or governmental subdivision or agency, business, estate, trust,\npartnership, unincorporated association, two (2) or more of any of the foregoing\nhaving a joint or common interest, or any other legal or commercial entity.","path":["KRS Chapter 212"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=8647","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:16Z","sha256":"447ca2361f65e28405dffacdbe48548cd34041c7b8e3e4d8de34c5f33a242c69","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-212.625","next":"us-ky/krs-212.627"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
