{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-212.628","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 212.628","heading":"Transfer of property to board of health -- Powers and duties of board.","body":"(1) All real, personal, and mixed property belonging to the city -county board of health\nor city-county department of health is hereby transferred to the board and the city -\ncounty board of health or city -county department of health shall take all the\nnecessary and proper steps to effect the legal transfer of title and possession of all\nsuch property to the board.\n(2) When the board has been organized and all property transferred as provided under\nsubsection (1) of this section, the board may control, operate, or  monitor all matters\nwithin the county affecting public health including institutions established to\nsafeguard the public health which may encompass city or county medical facilities,\nnursing homes, medical care of the indigent, and laboratories and clinic s necessary\nfor the promotion of public health and environmental protection and which are\nrequired or permitted under the provisions of any act of the General Assembly,\nunder any ordinances, orders, and resolutions of the legislative body of the county,\nor under any rules or regulations promulgated by the Cabinet for Health and Family\nServices, or by the board.","path":["KRS Chapter 212"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=8649","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:16Z","sha256":"50c700136add02e33cd6d7a624c478996f701d8418145f1b73e2fe5c447704e9","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-212.627","next":"us-ky/krs-212.629"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
