{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-212.632","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 212.632","heading":"Board membership.","body":"(1) The board shall be composed of thirteen (13) members, one (1) of whom shall be an\nex officio member and the mayor of the urban-county government, one (1) of whom\nshall be an ex officio member and a member of the urban -county government\nlegislative body and  appointed by the mayor, and eleven (11) of whom shall be\nappointed by the mayor with the approval of the urban -county government\nlegislative body. Of the eleven (11) appointed members, three (3) shall be licensed\nand practicing physicians, one (1) a licen sed and practicing dentist, one (1) a\nlicensed and practicing registered nurse, and six (6) members at large. Appointment\nof the physician, dentist, and nurse shall be made from a list of three (3) nominees\nsubmitted by any of the respective county professional societies for which a vacancy\nexists. All appointed members shall reside in the county of the board to which they\nare appointed and shall be eligible for reappointment.\n(2) At the expiration of any term of office, the successor to each member shall b e\nappointed in the manner prescribed under the provisions of subsection (1) of this\nsection for a term of office of two (2) years and until the successor is appointed and\nqualified.\n(3) All vacancies occurring on the board by reason of death, resignation,\ndisqualification, removal, or otherwise shall be filled for the unexpired term in the\nmanner prescribed under the provisions of subsection (1) of this section.","path":["KRS Chapter 212"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=8653","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:16Z","sha256":"e3791117051e1e85606c0602a6f051b732b0cd110dd2148279d9117db77b0761","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-212.631","next":"us-ky/krs-212.633"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
