{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-212.639","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 212.639","heading":"State aid -- Budget -- Annual report -- Compliance with KRS 65A.010 to","body":"65A.090.\n(1) To provide sufficient funds for carrying out the provisions of KRS 212.626 to\n212.639, the department shall be entitled to the same state aid as is provided for\ncounty and district health departments under KRS 212.120, upon notice of the\nestablishment of the department being given to the Cabinet for Health and Family\nServices as provided in KRS 212.120, the legislative intent being hereby declared to\nbe that funding fro m the Cabinet for Health and Family Services be continued at\nleast at the same level and proportion after July 1, 1977, as before its\nimplementation and that modification or alteration of the annual allotment not be\nmade unless for causes enumerated under the provisions of KRS 212.120.\n(2) If the sums derived from the appropriations, together with funds otherwise available\nfrom any other source to the board during any fiscal year, for its necessary\nexpenditures in the maintenance and operation of the board,  exceed its need for\nsuch expenditures during such fiscal year, any such unexpended funds at the end of\nthe fiscal year shall be carried forward by the board to be used in paying for its\noperating costs and expenses for its ensuing year.\n(3) The fiscal year of the board shall begin on July 1 of each year and shall end on June\n30 of the following year.\n(4) In a timely fashion governed by the requirements of the various funding sources\nsuch as the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, urban -county government, and\nany and all other sources, the commissioner shall prepare for board approval a\nbudget setting forth the total amounts of funds available from all sources for\nexpenditures during the board's fiscal year, and setting forth the estimated\nexpenditures of the board for the fiscal year.\n(5) The board shall install and maintain a system of accounting and shall file an annual\nreport of its fiscal and other operations to the Cabinet for Health and Family\nServices and to the legislative body of the urban -county government after the close\nof the board's fiscal year. The annual report shall be accompanied by such\ninformation, tables, and data as may be necessary to present a reasonably detailed\nreport of the board's condition and activities during the preceding year.\n(6) The board shall comply with the provisions of KRS 65A.010 to 65A.090.","path":["KRS Chapter 212"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=41746","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:52:16Z","sha256":"b3db2e2824c31777ef97d0a272b42b1ec15510119409d3650329df32dc805208","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-212.638","next":"us-ky/krs-212.640"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
